hi Synthia. I hope you are doing well and have a nice Birthday. Miss your posts. Aug. 24, 2006
O.k. I know that this is last minute. We'll do something quick today. We'll do a Hoagie today in order to get you in front of the TV set in time for the Super Bowl.
The Hoagie:
This is a nice quick no cook recipe.
You'll need:
Smoked turkey breast slices
Turkey ham or bologna
Roast beef slices
and depending upon how big you want this Hoagie to grow: You can add any other meat you see fit to add.
Lettuce
Tomato slices
Black olives or green (if that's your preference.)
Green or red bell peppers sliced into rings.
Onions sliced and separated into ringlets.
3 types of cheese : or any amount ot type you prefer: Provolone, Swiss, Cheddar, etc.
Long Hoagie Bread
Mayonaise
Olive oil and vinegar
Oregano
Some Assembly Reqired:
Let's assemble this big baby shall we!
Take your bread and begin by slicing a slit in the front of the bread and opening it.
Spread the mayonaise on each half.
Spread whatever meat slices you have flat, neatly overlapping on the bread.
Now spread the slices of cheese on top of the meat, flat, and overlapping.
Spread your lettuce leaves on top of the cheese.
Spread your tomato slices on your lettuce.
Spread your onion ringlets over your tomatoes.
Spread your pepper rings over your onions.
Spread your olive pieces over your peppers.
Sprinkle oil and vinegar if you so desire.
Sprinkle the oregano
Now close up the Hoagie and enjoy!
*Warning* You might need to grow an extra hinge in the corners of your mouth if you make this sandwich too big!!
